What better way to represent a metal-tinged classical band (or classical-tinged metal band, maybe) than P-shopping a skull with a cello? Check their other releases for other ideas along this line. I think this one squeezes out ahead of most of them.

Interesting by itself, but once I saw all of their other releases together, I realize it’s just a sad attempt at what Demon Hunter has done successfully with their album covers.

I would agree. I think the problem is that the repeating element - the skull - isn’t very striking. The DH skull is immediately visceral and it makes some sort of statement. And it’s memorable. The Apoc skull is just…a skull.

Well, what about the As I Lay Dying sculls? Do you dig those?

They’re alright. I do know Bannon has an actual human skull that he photographs and uses as a model, so that makes it a little more interesting.
