Not exactly sure why the disclaimer legalese is on the cover of all places…and this is the retail version, not the promo. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad design choice, but it’s highly unorthodox. I’d like to know the reasoning.
This layout is a good example of using an unusual color as part of the design. It’s green, so it evokes images of sci-fi goop or punky little aliens. And it’s not likely it will go well with most other colors except black and white.
I really like the curved pointers at the top to draw the eye towards the individual song titles and lyrics. The pages alternate the colors and positioning of the pointers and lyrics/pictures, so you don’t get layout fatigue from repetition.
Here’s the middle pages, where the thank you’s reside. Makes sense to put band member photos here as well. That table looks straight out of Doctor Who.
One thing I did notice on one of the pages were really small streaks of a red and blue, almost like cyan/magenta. They were too small to capture on my camera. It was probably a printing goof, but you never know sometimes.
