Artist: Radiohead
Release: In Rainbows
Label: Ato/Red
Designer: Stanley Donwood
Date: January 1, 2008
I swear this band goes to utter lengths to be as unappealing as possible. I haven’t heard a Radiohead song since “Creep” that I have liked, and their videos/covers are just flat. That’s just my opinion, though. I wouldn’t expect anything different from them.
For the album, Donwood experimented with a photographic etching technique, putting prints into baths with random results.[32] Donwood originally planned on doing an exploration on suburban life, but quickly realised it didn’t fit the album’s sound, “It’s a sensual record and I wanted to do something more organic.” … Donwood describing the album cover, said “it’s very colourful - I’ve finally embraced colour! It’s a rainbow but it is very toxic, it’s more like the sort of one you’d see in a puddle.”
Interesting underlying concept, disappointing execution.

So i have to say something after all Ok Computer is my all time number 1 album and that i’m pretty fond of the artwork for Ok computer and most of Stanley Donwood’s other work for radiohead. Although i have no idea if he was involved int he artwork for this album and must admit that it isn’t that impressive
