As per last Saturday’s blog, I did a little design of my quasi-epitaph.

This is the NIV translation of the verse. It was a toss-up between this one and the King James, but the NIV edged out simply because I liked the phrasing a little more.
I wanted it to look somewhat formal and dignified, so I used the ornate initial capital letter and a respectable serifed font.
I will probably get this printed up on some sort of heavy paper stock, maybe even like thin cardboard paper, like a business card. I’d probably tear along the edges there to and sign it in the lower right, frame it, perhaps hang it up, and just wait another 40-50 years to roll by where it will actually be put to use for its intended purpose. I’ll make plans to display it at the wake and somehow at the actual internment, then leave it with the wife or the kid.
If there was a problem, it is now solved.

I’m going to make one for you. It will say “Matt’s dead. Jay killed him.”
I’ll include one of your dreads as proof.
