Saturday Staff Blog: Still Alive

I’ve seen a few comments wondering of my status and the status of aGd. Thanks for the concern. I mean that.

Well, the last few weeks have seen me buried pit-deep at my real job (finally got hired permanently), which has been sucking the time and much energy from my skinny butt.

Additionally I have been putting a little more focus on putting the finishing touches/chapters on my book, which has slowly grown in an uncontrollable beast of fictional (hah) proportions.

I will try to get at least a few posts up a week. I don’t want to close something like this down unless there’s no absolute way I can do anything with it, or if I can’t find a suitable replacement, or an act of God destroys our hosting place, my external harddrive, and my sweet Macbook. Until the smoke clears from the elements listed above, aGd will remain a bit on the downlow.

Thanks. Definitely a blessing I got it.

CD is pretty good - solid music/lyrics. They do a lot of interesting things…definitely not standard metalcore. They tend to do breakdowns a little too much for my taste, but there’s enough cool/inventive stuff to keep me interested.

I got into conversations with some of the dudes when they toured here a few months ago. Super nice/genuine dudes…that kinda makes their music a little more appealing to me.

Good to hear. You’ve raised my curiosity though - what’s the book about?

radar - no worries. I will.

JJ - the book is about this girl who runs a venue that runs into some financial problems, and she has deal with it. It’s not really about that though…it’s more character driven. Think of it as the book of Esther crossed with Catcher in the Rye.
