Saturday Staff Blog: Yule Loot

This is the SSB where I brag about how much present-stuff I received. I did well, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Here’s the highlights.

I like books:

Our Dumb World - The Onion
The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide: Five Complete Novels and One Story - Douglas Adams
Tess of the D’Urbervilles - Thomas Hardy
Howards End - E.M. Forster
Women In Love - D.H. Lawrence
The Time Machine - H.G. Wells
The House of Mirth - Edith Wharton
The Secret Garden - Frances Hodgson Burnett
Critique of Pure Reason - Immanuel Kant
The Invisible Man - H.G. Wells
Little Women - Louisa May Alcott
The Prince and the Pauper - Mark Twain
Babbit - Sincair Lewis
The Histories of Middle Earth, Vol. 1-5 - J.R.R. Tolkein
The Awakening - Kate Chopin
Hard Times - Charles Dickens
Crime and Punishment - Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte
The Red Badge of Courage - Stephen Crane
A Christmas Carol - Charles Dickens

I started to read Critique, but you have to either be in the right frame of mind, very intelligent, or in Epistemology 102 to actually take it all in. None of those three apply to me right now, so I settled for Invisible Man.

And to top it off:

Tolkein mythos FTW this year.
